Top Fall DIY Ideas
Decorating for autumn and doing some fall DIY projects can be a great way to enhance your home, connect with your kids, or just enjoy some craft time! I’ve gathered some of my favorite fall DIY ideas from my blog to inspire you today.
Wrap Anything in Twine
A ball of twine is incredibly inexpensive and will last you through tons of projects. I bought mine for $4.50 at Walmart and I’ve done three major projects with it already! Twine is great for that rustic, textured earthy vibe fall gives off.
I wrapped two oatmeal canisters in twine to create this tedious, but easy fall DIY – a textured vase. I got the idea from frugalaintcheap.blogspot.com.
I even used the vase outside.
I also cut a “W” for Woods out of cardboard and wrapped that in twine to create a monogrammed wreath.
Decorate With an Old Wooden Ladder
For two years now I’ve used this rickety old wood ladder as part of our front entrance autumn decor and I love it!
Fall DIY Pumpkins
I’ve done a few fake pumpkins in my day. Check out my tutorials to learn how to make these really easy fall DIY crafts!
I love this glamorous gold pumpkin made from the most UN-glamorous supplies (a frozen pizza box and toilet paper roll).
Learn how to make cardboard pumpkins here.
I also created these easy fabric pumpkins using leftover fabric, twine, and a glue gun.
Look for a tutorial on that in the future!
Those are my top 3 fall DIY ideas! I’m sure you’ve seen some of these on my blog before, but if you’re looking for even more autumn inspiration, be sure to check out my 2014 and 2015 fall decor as well as my idea for a funny Halloween costume!
