Merry Mail Tree Displaying Christmas Cards

I was inspired by this washi tape tree to make something similar, but with sticks! This merry mail tree is perfect for displaying Christmas cards you get in the mail. Instead of adding clutter to your wall, hanging them on the stick tree makes your merry mail part of your holiday décor!

Using sticks to create an adorable Merry Mail Tree for displaying Christmas cards

Get started by clipping your sticks into five lengths, descending from 8 inches. I made mine approximately 8, 15, 22, 29, and 36 inches long. My sticks were the straightest I could find: lilac branches from our yard.

Wrap twine around edge of sticks, securing it with hot glue.

The next step is to wrap jute twine around the edges of the sticks, securing it with hot glue. I measured my twine about 7 inches longer than the stick I was gluing it to.

Hang tree form onto wall by hammering in nails and hanging the twine.

Hang your tree triangles by the twine resting on nails hammered in the wall. Space rows evenly apart (I did not do the best job at this) and add two nails for each layer below the first one.

Attach Christmas cards with paper clips or clothes pins.

Lastly, hang your merry mail using paper clips or clothes pins! I also made a video tutorial of the process that is perfect for sharing!

This is the perfect solution for displaying Christmas cards! I love showing off my friends and family’s holiday photos in a prominent spot of our home.
