DIY Flocked Mini Christmas Trees
Today I have such an easy and cheap decor DIY for you all! I love this project because it uses all ingredients you probably have stashed at home. In this tutorial, I will replicate these mini flocked trees that sell on Anthropologie for $58 for next to nothing! Plus you will get a recipe to mix up your own flocking for that clumpy snow look. Here is my DIY flocked mini Christmas trees!

Gather Supplies
You will need an evergreen branch to create your tree. I went outside and cut the end of a fir branch off! You could also use a faux branch (maybe one off an old Christmas tree you no longer use?). I am not worried about the branch dying before Christmas because I am going to stick it in water. It stays fresh and doesn’t loose many needles that way.
- Evergreen branch
- Pinecones (I used real ones from outside)
- Florist wire
- ~ 1/2 cup Mod Podge
- ~ 1/2 cup Corn Starch
- 1 cup Shaving Cream (about)
- White Glitter
- Powder Flocking (or coconut flakes like I used)
- Burlap
- Jute
- Old jar
- Small rocks (also gathered outside)
- Water
- Masking Tape
- Fabric Scissors
Okay, do you have all of that!? Now watch this video tutorial for the step by step process!

In the video tutorial I forgot to mention how to add on the pinecones. Simply cut a piece of florist wire and loop it around the pinecone. Pull it tight around the cone until it goes under the scales and becomes hidden. Then wrap the two loose ends around the evergreen branch! Easy!
They look just like the Anthropologie ones! Maybe even better?

Considering mine cost me nothing (I had all the supplies laying around) I would call this project a money-saving success! Tell me below in the comments if you liked it and if you’ve started decorating for the holidays yet?
