Thanks for mentioning that you need to have a caulk gun and a certain type of drill bit to complete this project. My uncle is interested in installing a railing that will lead to his basement, but he doesn’t own the necessary tools to get the job done. It might be a good idea for him to get the materials that he needs before he begins.

Melissa you truly are an artist. Of all the beautiful things I have seen on the home site, this is the first time I have ever been compelled to write a comment. Your home is amazing. I am big on upcycling also. I am in the process of redoing my son’s old bedroom and having such fun being creative and finding things around the house & garage to renew & design. How did you make the black dome light that attached to the ceiling? It doesn’t look like a lampshade it’s domed shape in the first picture
